NIC B. KUVSHINOFF, ESQ.

Nic B. Kuvshinoff, an Eastern Shore resident for almost 20 years, was born and raised in the Baltimore suburbs. After high school he went to college in New Jersey for two years before returning to Maryland to get a degree in Political Science from Towson University. He moved to Salisbury, MD, applied for and took the LSAT, and was accepted to a number of law schools. He attended Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law, located in Washington, DC. During law school he interned at the District of Columbia’s Office of the Corporation Counsel, which was at that time the name of the legal department of the District of Columbia, and then was a Law Clerk for Brault, Graham, Scott & Brault, a distinguished law firm in DC practicing primarily in the area if insurance defense.

After law school and passing the Virginia and Maryland bar exams, he joined an insurance defense firm located in Northern Virginia, representing insurance companies against people injured in accidents, in jury trials in the Courts of both Maryland and Virginia. This experience would later be valuable when he began representing clients fighting against the insurance companies. A few years later, he returned to Salisbury and worked for a local law firm. After a few years as an associate and gaining insight into the local courts and legal system, he went out on his own, founding the firm in 2001 in order to assist both individuals and businesses. Legal problems don’t arise in a vacuum, so Nic Kuvshinoff is able to utilize his experience in life, and in business, to help clients understand the law as it relates to their particular matter, and to achieve the best results possible given their specific situation, budget, time frame and desired goals.

MEGHAN K. FORBES, ESQ.

Meghan K. Forbes has lived the majority of her life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She attended the University of Maryland in College Park, graduating with a BS in Government and Politics. After she graduated in 2007, she worked for the State of Maryland in the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation as a Labor Exchange Specialist where she assisted underprivileged clients in creating resumes and obtaining employment. While she attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, she gained legal experience working for the Law Offices of Peter Angelos, PC and the Maryland Attorney General’s Office in the Consumer Protection Division. She graduated from law school, and was then admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2015.

Meghan became involved in Alternate Dispute Resolution during her time in law school and is certified in Alternative Dispute Resolutions by the University of Baltimore School of Law. She is also involved in the Young Lawyers Section Council as the Wicomico Circuit Representative.

Meghan has always been involved in helping to improve her community, especially focusing on supporting youth–orientated endeavors by working with Camp Odyssey and volunteering for Optimist Club of Salisbury “friend of youth” programs throughout the year.

Meghan is licensed to practice law in Maryland and admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland. At The Law Office of Nic B. Kuvshinoff, P.C., she practices both civil and criminal litigation involving debt collection, personal injury, and DUI defense, but her concentration is in family law, traffic citations, and landlord/tenant disputes.
